The Hunger Hour

The morning after you had friends over.

A priory of cold black tracks,
empty cupboards,
a dusty pantry.
Betrayal of the priest’s harvest.

Spices and salt,
have an absent medium.
The whale at my body’s core,
whines and growls.

Hallelujah!
a stale stunted cake.
Is it dated?
…Hmm.

Well here’s some peanut cream
Maybe it’ll do good.
Ew – oh god, oh my.
Hunger, a truantย bully.

        Alice,
I planned to cook it tonight but was really busy studying for a test tomorrow. But I just spoke to a friend of mine who tried it out earlier on but she chose not to cook the rice before baking. BIG MISTAKE.
She said it didn’t cook properly but that the potatoes were yum!
Well i’ll keep this in mind when I cook the dish soon!

Hello misskutts I am really happy your friend tried the recipe, I feel much more comfortable using cooked rice to the uncooked one as the results are better (that’t why I specified that in the recipe) but I am sure once you get used to doing the recipe she will really like the results. I am happy she liked the potatoes ๐Ÿ™‚ Please say a big thank you to your friend for trying the recipe and hope you will like the results as well.
        Have a nice Sunday,
        Alice

Will do! I guess we’ve gotta be careful with the oven, no matter how much we trust it! Thank you for your lovely recipe; really easy and innovative. And by the looks of it, it must be yummy!

        Have a lovely Sunday yourself,
        Pia ๐Ÿ™‚

Maybe I am not in the position to say anything but, @Ankur I think you should just let them out onto your blog. The appreciation will guide you, the depreciation (in the sense of being the opposite of appreciation.) So, yeah the depreciation will make you better. ๐Ÿ™‚ All the best for your exams and your blog ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a good day!
