Inspired by a true story. Me ’99.
The ticking hands are unforgiving,
every fraction of the circumference
is a fraction lost.
Mere life comes at a cost.
It pains me sometimes to think of then,
Even when my days are bright.
Being a handful of exploration,
giggling like a duck,
Having someone tell you it’s alright.
I wish I had a day
to relive the innocence,
a reborn novice of senses and
visions and dreams.
Indeed, what a pleasant day it would be.
